Our article “Reproductive Modes in Frogs and Their Unexpected Diversity in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil” ( BioScience 55 (3): 207–217) contains an error. In the fourth column of table 1, p. 213, we list the number of reproductive modes present in each frog family in the Atlantic forest; and at the end of the column, the sum of the reproductive modes appears as 39. This cell in the table should actually be empty, because many reproductive modes are present in more than one family. We count 27 reproductive modes among anurans of the Atlantic forest of Brazil (see table 2, p. 213). The correction has been made in the online version of the article at  www.ingentaconnect.com/content/aibs/bio.
